Welcome to South West Crucible!
Ever wondered how to take your research to the next level? Ever speculated about how inspiring cross-disciplinary work can be carried out?
Crucible brings the brightest and the most innovative thinkers together and allows them to see the bigger picture. South West Crucible is designed to help you find out just what great minds and creative thinkers can do when they come together!
There is currently no South West Crucible programme scheduled. However, if you work within the GW4 Alliance (Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Cardiff) we encourage you to get involved with the GW4 Crucible – Healthy Living taking place from Feb to May 2017.
‘Crucible’ is the highly successful, professional and personal leadership development programme established by NESTA for innovative researchers.
The scheme enables 30 talented participants from a variety of disciplines to come together to explore and expand their creative capacity and problem-solving potential in ways they may never have considered before.
It is designed to introduce researchers to new ways of thinking and working, with the ultimate goal of creating long-term shifts in attitude towards collaboration.
The programme is a partnership between the Universities of:
- Bath
- Bristol
- The West of England.
The first South West Crucible took place in 2013 over a series of three intensive, two-day residential workshops, called “Labs”.
South West Crucible is designed for talented early to mid-career researchers from all disciplines. Successful applicants will already have a high level of achievement in their field and an ongoing commitment to a research career in the South West region.
