South West Crucible is aimed at talented early to mid-career researchers from all disciplines who have already demonstrated success within their field and have an on-going commitment to a career in research in the South West (within academia or industry).
We are looking for researchers who are prepared to embrace new and challenging thinking and have an interest in research and society beyond your own field.
We welcome applicants from the Universities of Bath, Bristol and UWE and encourage applications from all disciplines. To be eligible, you must have a minimum of three years postdoctoral experience or equivalent industrial experience. You must also be employed by one of the participating institutions until August 2014.
At the University of Bath, applicants are expected to be experienced research staff, research fellows, prize fellows or academics in probation (lecturers).
At the University of Bristol, applicants are expected to be on Profile levels b or c, i.e. Lecturers, Research associates or Research Fellows.
At the University of the West of England, Bristol participants are expected to be on Grades F to H i.e. Lecturer, Research Associate, Senior Lecturer, Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow.
